The greater the shadow, the greater the responsibility to create light.
Bringing back the light: at a time of instability in many countries, IRIA SUMMIT® opens a chain of harmony between people, families, communities, businesses, cities and nations. A return to the good so that, together, we can build again what unites us. From the invisible to the visible, from the energy point called Brazil. Five immersive evenings (6:30–10:30 PM Brasília time) with 12 guest therapists and guests of honor under the direction of Ricardo Pereira.
At a time of instability on the planet, felt in many countries, IRIA SUMMIT® opens a chain of harmony linking every part of life. A return to the good, where light stops being only an intention and becomes practice.
Each link strengthens the next. The light each person takes on reaches the family, the community, businesses, cities and nations.
The point we all envision is one and the same: peace and harmony.
Bringing light back to the center: putting care, dignity and responsibility back where they belong. Not as a speech, but as what we do every day.
From Brazil to Portugal, from Spain to the United States and every nation: bringing cultures, knowledge and traditions together around what unites us, beyond borders and ideologies.
Health, education, business, public institutions, nonprofits, technology and culture. Every sector is a front line where good becomes real.
The guiding vision of the gathering, conceived under the direction of Ricardo Pereira.
“The greater the shadow, the greater the responsibility to create light.”
We are not here only to avoid being part of what destroys. We are here to be part of what builds.
There is a shadow hanging over the world. It shows in conflict, in division, in suffering, in dehumanization and in everything that seems to pull humanity away from its essence.
From Brazil to so many other parts of the planet, we witness clashes that reach beyond borders, geographies and ideologies. A tension between what destroys and what builds. Between what divides and what unites. Between what diminishes life and what makes it flourish.
And, in the face of all this, many ask themselves what they can do. Some step away. Others withdraw, trying to protect their peace. Some would rather not look, not listen, not get involved.
But are we here only to protect ourselves from what is happening around us? And what if this is precisely the moment when we most need to understand our role and take it on fully?
I am not talking about entering conflicts, fighting people or putting ourselves in danger. I am talking about something much deeper.
Because the greater the world's need for good, the greater each person's responsibility to make it real.
We cannot wish for more love and keep loving halfway. We cannot wish for more awareness and stop sharing what we know. We cannot wish for a more humane world and forget humanity in the small gestures of everyday life. We cannot wait for the shadow to disappear before we start doing what we came here to do.
This is precisely where everything begins.
It begins with me. It begins with you. It begins with each of us. We do not all need to do the same thing. We do not all have the same abilities, the same resources or the same mission. But each of us must seek to understand what our role is.
What is mine to do? What do I have to offer? What can I build, care for, teach, transform or share? And, above all, am I truly doing it?
Because understanding is not doing. Recognizing a mission is not living it. Being aware of what the world needs is not enough if that awareness does not turn into what we do. And perhaps this is one of the greatest challenges of this moment: to stop being mere observers of what happens in the world and to take responsibility for taking part in what we want to see born.
We do not need to wait for great opportunities. We do not need to hold prominent positions. We do not need to change the lives of millions. We need to begin where we are, with who we are and with what we have. And to do it with all the wholeheartedness we are capable of.
Because light is not only what we believe in. It is what we put into practice. It is the care we offer. The dignity with which we work. The truth we share. The beauty we create. The hope we help keep alive. The strength we place in the service of life.
And when the shadow grows, it is not enough for light simply to go on existing. Each of us must become more aware, more present and more determined in what we came here to do.
Perhaps we did not choose every circumstance of this time. But we can choose how we stand before them and what we do from there. Perhaps we cannot determine the course of everything that happens around us. But we can take responsibility, without excuses and without delay, for our own contribution.
We are not here only to avoid being part of what destroys. We are here to be part of what builds.
So do not only ask yourself how you can protect your light from the shadow hanging over the world. Ask yourself whether you are placing that light in the service of what you came here to do. Whether you care as you are able to care. Create as you are able to create. Teach as you are able to teach. Love as you are able to love. Whether you are fulfilling your role or just waiting for the world to offer you better conditions to begin.

See Full Background →This gathering, a return to the good, comes from a clear realization: the world does not need more theoretical speeches about peace, but steadfast practitioners of compassion, care and responsibility.
With more than two and a half decades devoted to training therapists, creating integrative protocols and sustaining major projects in Brazil and Portugal, Ricardo Pereira conceived this special event as a beacon for all who feel the call to serve life.
"We do not need to wait for great opportunities. We need to begin where we are, with who we are and with what we have. And to do it with all the wholeheartedness we are capable of."
